; FILE FORWARD: FILES TO FORWARD
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 460 FileFwd: Filename
!NOINDEX
Here you must enter the file name you want Portal to look for, in your
160Inbound directory. It may be a specific file name, or a mask, as used by
your operation system.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 461 FileFwd: Accept from
!NOINDEX
These 4 fields may contain an address, from which you expect this file to
come. If it is left blank (0:0/0.0), the file will be accepted from any node.
If the file is sent to your system from any other node, than the one specified
here, OR there is not enough room to move it to the 463Move to directory,
it will be moved to your 480Secure dir.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 462 FileFwd: PortalFix name
!NOINDEX
If you want points and nodes to be able to decide if they want to receive a
file, you may supply a name here, for them to use for linking and unlinking
them from it, using the built-in PortalFix (FileFix<tm> & AreaFix<tm> in one).
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 463 FileFwd: Move to
!NOINDEX
This field contains the path the file is to be moved to, it CANNOT be left
blank, because it would confuse the file forwarding function.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 464 FileFwd: Add to FILES.BBS
!NOINDEX
If you set thes option to 'Y', Portal will adopt the file, by adding its name
and 465Description to a FILES.BBS in the 463Move to-directory, creating
one, if it does not already exist.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 465 FileFwd: Description
!NOINDEX
The description of the file, it will be added to FILES.BBS, if the
464Add to FILES.BBS-option is set to 'Y'.
The description can contain some wild cards, which are:
$1-$12 which corresponds to the 12 characters in the
file name.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 466 FileFwd: Add before line
!NOINDEX
If this number is greater than zero, the 465Description will be inserted
in the FILES.BBS, just before that number of lines, instead of at the bottom.
If the number of lines is less than the number specified here, the line will
be added after the last line.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 467 FileFwd: Touch file
!NOINDEX
If this option is set to yes, the file will be stamped with current time and
date.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 468 FileFwd: Kill dupe
!NOINDEX
When set to 'Y', this option will delete the file, if it exists already, in
the 463Move to-directory. This may be useful, if you receive files, that
use a number, as part of the file name, e.g. NODEDIFF.A01, and you want to
prevent forwarding duplicates of the file.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 469 FileFwd: Check date
!NOINDEX
This option, when used, makes Portal check whether the file date is greater
than the last time a matching file was received. If it is NOT newer, it will
NOT be forwarded, but moved to the 480Secure dir.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 470 FileFwd: Keep #
!NOINDEX
If this option is set to something other than zero, file forward will delete
excess files, matching the specified mask, from the oldest on up, until the
number of files left, in the destination directory is equal to the number
specified here.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 471 FileFwd: Send to
!NOINDEX
These 2 lines is used to specify who the file should be sent to. The lines
look something like this:
231/12 231/57 231/62
or in the abreviated form:
231/12 57 62
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 472 FileFwd: Do before move
!NOINDEX
You may specify a command to be issued, before the file is moved. It may be
any valid command, but no checking at all is made, to ensure that the command
is valid.

160Inbound-directory.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 473 FileFwd: Do after move
!NOINDEX
You may specify a command to be issued, after the file is moved. It may be any
valid command, but no checking at all is made, to ensure that the command is
valid.

463Move to-directory.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 474 FileFwd: Level

;
;===========================================================
; FILE FORWARD: MISC. OPTIONS
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 480 FileFwd misc: Secure dir.
!NOINDEX
This directory is used to store files, that violate File Forward Security, or
files that there is not enough room to move. The file will be renamed, and an
entry will be made in your 164log file.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 481 FileFwd misc: Pre command
!NOINDEX
This command is issued before Portal starts looking for files to forward.
It may be any command, either internal, or external, and is just passed on to
the command-processor. It could do some special things, like converting
anything in your 160Inbound-directory, to some special Archive format, or
do some cleanup, or whatever you like.
If you need much memory, for this command to run, you may use the
663Globals: Swap on exec-option.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------

!NOINDEX
This field contains the subject that you want your forward letters to have.

!TOPIC 484 FileFwd misc: KillSent
!NOINDEX
When set to 'Y', this option will mark all forward letters as KillSent.
The KillSent flag, makes your mail scanner delete the message, after it has
been scanned out to the receiver.
;
;===========================================================
; FILE FORWARD: TICK AREAS
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 500 Tick: Area name
!NOINDEX
This is the name of the tick file area. Tick is a kind of "file echo", where
you send files instead of messages. If a file is received that is not in this
setup, the .TIC file is renamed to .BAD, and processing may take place at a
later time.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 501 Tick: Group name
!NOINDEX
This field may be used to sort Tick areas into groups, to make it easier to
determine which distribution net the file is belonging to.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 502 Tick: Human name
!NOINDEX
This field is used for a meaningfull description of the area, and it is is
used under PortalFix, for making the list of available areas, and other

left blank.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 904 Tick: Write letter
!NOINDEX
*** NOT IMPLEMENTED YET! ***
This field is used to select if your Portal should write a letter in an echo
mail area, to anounce the arrival of new files on the system. This option
should only be used by a RC of the corresponding net, or by someone appointed
to announce the files.
See also: 505Message path
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 505 Tick: Message path
!NOINDEX
This field is used for a specifying the destination of the above message. If
you are using .MSG style messages, you must specify the path for the desired

;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 506 Tick: Allow repack
!NOINDEX
Here you may specify if it is allowed to repack the files before they are sent
to the other nodes. Most areas and distribution nets do NOT allow this, so if
you are not sure, leave it to 'N'.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 507 Tick: Check CRC
!NOINDEX
If set to N Portal will not check the CRC of the files received in this area.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 508 Tick: AKA to use
!NOINDEX
Here you enter which of the defined addresses you want to use when sending
ticks in this area. If set to (DEFAULT), the first of your addresses that

main address is used.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 509 Tick: In/Out nodes
!NOINDEX
This field is used to specify the nodes, that can both send files into and
receive files from this area.

instead.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 510 Tick: Out nodes
!NOINDEX
This field is used to specify the nodes, that can ONLY receive files from this
area.

and file forward. This field is used together with the 512Keys-field.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 512 Tick: Keys
!NOINDEX
The keys are used for security, in exactly the same way as the nodes setup,
and file forward. This field is used together with the 511Level-field. The
keys are more important than the level, so the level of a node does not matter
if it does not have the right keys set in the nodes setup.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 513 Tick: FILES.BBS
!NOINDEX
Here you enter the name of the text file that Portal shall add the files in
this area to. If this field is left blank, FILES.BBS will be used.

to be able to check for dupes in the flow of the Tick files.

names of the files which have been processed by Portal's Tick processor.
;
;-----------------------------------------------------------
!TOPIC 521 Tick misc: Hold directory
!NOINDEX
This option specifies where Portal will store the .TIC files that need to be
sent to other systems. It could point to your 161Outbound-directory, or any

node you got the .TIC file from.
